Vytlacil Campus Artist-in-Residence Studio Exhibition

This Friday, November 26th 2010, The Art Students League of New York Vytlacil Campus Artist-in-Residence Program is holding an Open Studio Recption for the four artists currently in residence -

Ellen Berdinner – Poulsbo, WA, USA/ Sculptor
Hannah Simmons – Knoxville, TN, USA – Mixed Media Artist
Rebecca Kinsey (dolores cupcake) – Byron Bay, NSW, Australia – Painter
Adrian Landon – NewYork, NY, USA – Sculptor

There has been some really great work going on here this month! come and check it out!

I have been making paintings whilst projecting video footage that i have taken around NY onto canvas; Hannah Simmons has been mapping stories from the New York Times onto the studio walls and embroidering into newspapers; Ellen Berdinner creates beautiful mesh, mica and metal sculptures; and Adrian Landon is working on his second giant steel horse.

Our studios are located in the beautiful town of Sparkill, NY. It is only a thirty minute drive from Manhattan, or an hour bus ride - check the bus website for a schedule

There is also free transportation from The League's Manhattan campus - The Vyt Van (capacity 14) will leave from 57th Street at 4pm and leave Vyt to return to 57th Street between 7 and 8pm. Please sign up in advance at the League office.

We will have wine and hors d'oeuvres beginning at 5:00pm, but feel free to drop by anytime during the afternoon.
